Welcome

The Total Joint Network is a partnership that works with organizations within the Greater Toronto Area to improve the healthcare system for patients that present with orthopaedic problems.

The first Network project from April 2005 – March 2007 was to work with 26 healthcare organizations to improve care for patients who have undergone hip or knee replacement surgery. The Network is currently working on a project to improve care in 35 healthcare organizations (LHIN restructuring changed Community Care Access Centres from 9 - 5) for patients who have sustained a fractured hip in the community and is developing the capacity and guidelines to provide intensive rehabilitation through designated care facilities.
